Sydney - Australia

Blessed with one of the worlds most beautiful natural harbours, Sidneysiders have graced it with two amazing structures the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. This is definitely a 'must see' and the many harbour ferries, forming an integral part of the city transport system, offer spectacular close-up views. If ferries make you a little queasy, they have even developed the Circular Quay area with cafes, shops and bars for you to sit outside and stare whilst sipping a chilled local chardonnay.

Each State of
Australia has it's own laws and these can vary
considerably. Sydney is the capital city of the
State of New South Wales... and therefore you are
subject to itıs laws whilst here. You need to be 18
to drink, and to do other, more personal things....
Sydney is a very friendly city, and a very relaxed
one. The transport system is modern, fast and
reasonably reliable. You can get to most places on
public transport cheaply. Reminiscent of the London
underground you will find the Circle Line and Oxford
Street featuring in the train system. Sydney Ferries
are a unique and enjoyable service... many locals
use the ferries daily to get to and from work or
social engagements, but they are just as fun to take
a quick sightseeing trip! The ferries operate seven
days a week and service all ports of the harbour.
There are also numerous water taxis criss-crossing
the bays and inlets around the city.
With some of the freshest food in the world, and one of the most diverse cultural communities... Sydney has a tonne of gastronomic adventures for you. The nightclub scene has changed dramatically in the last 12 months... no longer are the superclubs reigning, but smaller intimate events like FagTag and so called 'straight venues' are making a mark with the GLBT community. The scene has also started to geographically shift, so Oxford Street is not the only place to have a gay old time. All this and superb all year weather and an environment where same sex couples can walk down the street holding hands and no-one bats an eyelid! So you wonder why any gay man or lesbian ever bothers to leave!
Sydney and much of New South Wales enjoys a sub-tropical climate. Summer from October until March has warm sunny days up to 27C with winter, June until August, being cooler with temperatures up to 18C. Most days are sunny, with few wet days even in winter.
