HERMES HOTEL - MYKONOS

 

The Hermes - located almost immediately opposite the Hotel Alkyon – has just 26 rooms, all of which are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, a fridge and satellite TV. All rooms have a balcony, and from this vantage point you can enjoy breathtaking views over the sparkling white town down to the sea. You can choose between a twin and a double room but, as ever, double rooms are generally the first to sell out. Nonetheless, whichever type of sleeping arrangement you go for, you’ll find that your room is spacious, attractively decorated and very well furnished, and this satisfying level of quality is mirrored throughout the whole property. The public rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and welcoming and the general atmosphere one of understated style and sophistication. Do remember that the Hermes, like the Alkyon is located on a hill and is therefore not suitable for disabled or elderly travellers. 

The hotel’s inviting  pool is undoubtedly one of the many reasons that the Hermes is now a firmly-established favourite, and its here that you can cool down in the clear blue water in between some serious sunbathing sessions, perhaps punctuated by a drink or a snack from the bar. Talking of drinks and snacks, for those of you who like a bit of privacy from time to time, you can always take advantage of room service and talking of service, a maid will clean your room and change your towels every day whilst bed linen is replaced three times a week.
