GRAN HOTEL VILLA DEL CONDE - MASPALOMAS

This gay friendly hotel opulent five star hotel is located 300 metres from the Meloneras beach, which is about ten minutes by car from the centre of Playa del Ingles and 800 metres from the lighthouse and dunes at Maspalomas. Architecturally eye-catching, this property is set to become one of the very best hotels in all the Canary Islands and perfect for a very special holiday. All 561 large, beautifully furnished rooms, 40 of which are suites, are air conditioned with their own balcony or terrace, a lounge area, a phone, a safe for you to hire, a mini bar and satellite TV. It goes without saying that there’s an ensuite bathroom with a separate bath and shower but, unusually, there’s also an ensuite dressing room. The suites are similarly furnished, but with a separate living room and with DVD players.

The Villa Hotel Del Conde is offered on a half board basis, meaning that breakfast and and evening meal is included in your holiday price. Both these meals are served in the buffet restaurant, but as part of your half board tariff you can dine in the à la carte Italian restaurant subject, of course, to booking in advance and availability. The hotel also has a café style restaurant and an outdoor salad-bar and grill by the pool.

There are five bars, all with a very distinct vibe. The lobby bar, the lounge bar (a great place to listen to live music and enjoy the frequent professional shows) and in the hotel’s central square there’s a dedicated beer bar and a snack bar, with a nearby internet café and of course, there’s a pool bar.

Other facilities include a 34,000 square metre tropical garden. Of the five swimming pools (one is saltwater and three can be heated in Winter), two Jacuzzis and loads of space for just chilling out and chatting with chums on the hotel’s artificial beach. Active types may well take advantage of the tennis court, as well as golf, billiards and use of the hotel’s gym.
